Message from the Chairman
Welcome to the World Psychological Organisation (WPO) website. WPO is a charitable non-profit organisation under Section 88, founded by a group of psychologists and scholars. WPO is dedicated to the advancement of Psychology in terms of research and practice. Its stakeholders include psychologists, counselors, psychiatrists, social workers, researchers, teachers/academics, psychology students, and the general public who are interested in the subject matter or in need of psychological services.
As a centralized hub, it facilitates access to psychological services, research collaborative network, international conferences, professional development, job opportunities, and internships. It periodically organizes seminars and conferences as continuing professional development for practitioners and researchers. WPO provides mental health education and practice for students and the community, hence raising mental health awareness issues in the general public. It also seeks funding to undertake applied research, and whenever possible, supports student members in their career planning and job search.
